Polaroid is looking to fuel a new device category, and has recently shown off its newest camera known as the SC1630 Smart Camera. It has a 16MP shooter with 3x zoom, and should provide some good looking pictures. What makes it unique from other point-and-shoot cameras is the fact that it runs Android. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, and cellular data connectivity. Please note that while the picture looks like a media device with a nice camera, it is mostly meant to be a camera with extra sharing options.
It also offers some extra features for anyone looking to get a little more bang for their buck, and includes the Android Market. This means that it can run third-party Android apps, and should pass the time for anyone looking to do something in-between shots. Multiple photo enhancement options are also on board, and should make for a feature-packed camera. Launch date will be sometime this year, and price is unknown. Would you be interested in a camera running Android? Think it will cost too much? Let us know in the comments!
