Commerce Kickstart automatically generates product names for you by default. The product will be named the same as the Product Display node title. If you decided you need to have products with uniquely identifiable names, you need to name then individually.
To do this you should edit the product reference field on the Product Display node. In Commerce Kickstart it is located at example.com/admin/structure/types/manage/product-display/fields/field_product.
Now uncheck ‘Auto generate the product title’. It’s located right beneath ‘Inline Entity Form: Commerce Product’. And save.
Go to the product page at admin/commerce/products and edit the products. You’ll notice an extra Title field on the product like below:
Enter a unique name there and you’re set. Don't forget to save the product.
